FusionExcel is pleased to sponsor RM 36,000 (comprising of Quantum Science products) towards the World Lupus Day 2011 'Walkathon-a-Payung'.
On 22nd May 2011, the Dataran Petaling Jaya Field was a 'sea of red' as over 1000 red-shirted participants prepared for the walkathon. The early rain in the morning did not damper the spirit of the walkers and after the ceremony of the official launch by the Deputy Health Minister at 10.00am, the sky brightened up and the Walkathon-a-Payung got going at a leisurely pace to cover the 3-Kilometre Walkathon as participants carried opened umbrellas to bring awareness that Lupus sufferers needed to avoid exposure to sunlight.
On behalf of FusionExcel International, Event Manager Mr. Patrick Chan presented a Mock Cheque of RM 36,000 to Associate Professor Dr. Esha Das Gupta, the President of Persatuan SLE Malaysia which was witnessed by YB Datuk Rosnah bt Hj Abd Rashid Shirlin, the Deputy Minister of Health, Malaysia.
This Event was held to raise funds for the Persatuan SLE Malaysia in its growing work among Lupus (SLE) patients. Additional to the contribution of the sponsorship amount, FusionExcel supported the event with walkers carrying a banner worded "FusionExcel International Supports the Walkathon-a-Payung on May 22 2011" and providing demonstrations on the effectiveness of FE’s scalar energy products. In the goodie bags given to participants, FE product brochures were also included.
All in all, it can be said that much awareness of FE products and charitable intentions were created at the event.
Presidential Director Robert Low and Director Leader Rina helped out in liaising with the Organizers as well as setting up of the product demonstrations.
Persatuan SLE Malaysia expressed its appreciation for FusionExcel's contribution and support.
